My given name is Ken, though I’ve gone by Sonny my whole life. I’m Indigenous, with family roots in Montana and lineage connected to the Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes.

I’m a single dad to a teenager. I work in tech by trade. Beadwork is where I slow down.

I approach beadwork like solving a puzzle — starting with a design and working through it stitch by stitch. Once a piece is finished, I usually move on. Repeating the same design doesn’t hold much interest for me, so most of the time each piece is made to be one of a kind.

I’m not interested in mass production or constant selling. I make what feels right, when it feels right. If pieces are sold, traded, or gifted along the way, that’s part of the process. I’m always open to trades with people I know or trust. Also open to other projects on a case by case basis.
